Begin an adventure through your village at which you have to grow your village by gathering resources.

This game is fundamentally a village-building sim but with a stronger focus on setting up production chains for various outputs like clothes, books or tools, while ensuring that everything works efficiently from a logistics and manpower standpoint. However, despite all of that, MicroTown is interestingly casual enough to offer a more relaxing gameplay experience unlike the hardcore village-building sim, Banished, or the very complicated, logistics-driven, industry-builder, Rise of Industry.
That being said, the game does require you to spend a bit of time reading the tool tips in addition to paying attention during the tutorial, where you’ll learn which buildings are necessary to for you to set up an entire production chain, as well as optimizing building placements and villager assignments in order to build a more efficient village.
Unlike Rise of Industry, where optimization (and selling at a higher price) is crucial to earning enough money to stay afloat and not lose the game, MicroTown doesn’t seem to hit you with any sort of penalty if you don’t optimize anything.
