Once upon a time, there were two continents that were separated by a vast ocean. These continents followed distinct paths of development.
In the northern continent, the Flare Kingdom possessed advanced industries and a formidable military, which allowed them to expand their influence. They gradually annexed neighboring states until they gained complete control over the entire northern continent. Meanwhile, on the southern continent, Kirialos engaged in relentless warfare over their abundant resources. Observing the dominance of their own continent, the Flare Kingdom became interested in Kirialos’ valuable resources.
Under the pretext of maintaining peace, the Flare Kingdom intervened in the conflicts on the southern continent and swiftly seized control. They established a puppet government in Kirialos, while diverting the wealth acquired from its resources back to their own continent. During this time, a group known as the “Liberation Army” emerged, determined to overthrow the Kingdom and its puppet government.
To suppress this uprising, the Kingdom established a local war ministry and formed a foreign campaign regiment named “Coronea.” The mercenaries who joined this regiment, driven by various motivations such as money, fame, or honor, came to be known as the “Kingdom’s Dogs.” Within this context, the story revolves around the least significant mercenary company among them, known as the Gray Wolves mercenaries.
