Wargames are usually not accessible to novice players. It is a genre that is difficult to enter due to the number of rules you have to learn. The digital format helps in the task of memorizing rules to solve rolls, movements, etc. Still, it is not sitting and playing. You have to be willing to look at summaries and have patience trying, losing, and playing again.
The game is rewarding within a few hours of playing it. If you spend at least 3 hours you overcome the first difficulty curve and start enjoying it. Then you become curious and you start to delve into the system. The moment you understand how the game works is when you really enjoy it.
Do we recommend it? Of course. But keep in mind that it is in early access and the game needs improvement. Is it playable in early access? Yes, it is. Lock ‘n Load Tactical Digital has a lot of future projection. The developers are very active in the forums listening to the suggestions of the players.
