It’s really gratifying to finally see Turkish developers making such survival games. Lighthouse Keeper looks interesting with its sweet graphics and story.
Get yourself comfortable! You are tasked with taking care of an old Lighthouse and this small island is now your new home. It could definitely use some polishing. Despite some bugs, the game is pretty and has a nice gameplay loop. It could definitely use some more sound effects, voice acting, and polishing but we really like what is here. The art style is bright and the island feels real enough. The visitors talk about distant islands with treasures and trade to discover.
we love boats and being able to sail them around it is such an engaging experience. we wish the game had more in terms of progression maybe a couple of tiers of boats and having to build the crafting tables. It almost feels like we started halfway through the game. we are also almost totally upgraded on our tools. Not sure about the game time on this but it feels pretty short, a lot of fun though!
Pros of Lighthouse Keeper:
- Hunt for fish or seagulls for food or grow your own vegetables by repairing the farm.
- Chop down trees, mine for minerals, and upgrade your tools.
- Time wears down the old Lighthouse, figure out how its mechanisms work to make sure they work again.
- Sometimes you’ll need materials, sometimes you’ll just need to be smart.
- Sail to different islands with your boat and discover their secrets and collect additional resources.
