Step into a gritty, story-driven sandbox where the 90s hit hard. Take control of Seppo “Zeze” Sahtivaara, cruise retro cars, enjoy a killer soundtrack, master brutal 1v1 fights, and soak up pure nostalgia. Grab a beer, relax, and enjoy a sauna beside the lake. The Finnish voice acting is excellent, filled with easter egg-style comments and jokes, including plenty that may be difficult to catch without knowing the local area.

Many of the voice actors are also well-known names in Finland, and that experience clearly comes through in the quality of their performances. The authentic music tracks are fantastic, alongside several AI-generated songs that fit surprisingly well in Last Drop. The developers are very open about their use of AI, and many of these tracks are genuinely enjoyable despite not being created with the newest models.

The AI assets also appear to have been carefully chosen to serve specific purposes within Last Drop’s world and lore, with some likely to be replaced later as development continues. Judging the entire game solely by its AI usage would mean missing out on what it actually offers. Beyond that, an enormous amount of thought has gone into building a living, immersive recreation of Central Finland during the mid-90s in Last Drop.

The world map is MASSIVE — seriously! Without revealing too much, it contains a major city, nearby towns, a landfill, numerous construction sites, manufacturing facilities, farms, and even an airport. Plenty of the map still remains unexplored. Many interiors can be entered freely in Last Drop, while semi-hidden tunnels and unexpected areas reward curious players. The world design constantly encourages exploration.
