Kredolis is an Action, Adventure, and Puzzle game for PC published by Pharos Interactive in 2022. a charming Myst-like adventure game that’s unfortunately way too easy and way too short!
Kredolis PC Game 2022 review:
The player takes on the role of an unnamed protagonist stranded on a deserted island that was once part of Atlantis and has recently been explored by a research team.
The fall of Atlantis has left a small island unsunken. The old inhabitants have long left and a mysterious institute has taken hold in the 1970s and disappeared. A long time has passed and you have shipwrecked on the island during a storm to find yourself lost between the ruins of the Atlanteans and the institute. Follow the stories left behind by the institute scientists to find out what happened and find your way home or enter the sunken lighthouse into the depths of Atlantis.
This setting sounds extremely promising. Especially when you consider that the game was developed by a one-man studio over a period of seven years. However, it quickly becomes clear that the island is quite small and the puzzles are not exactly challenging. Above all, the puzzles from the time of Atlantis, which I personally found the most interesting, are – with one exception – much too easy and can be solved in a few minutes. The situation is different with the puzzles that the research team left behind on the island. These are more complex and require more than a cursory solution. The only problem is that some of these puzzles seem out of place and incomplete. Almost as if the developer had other ideas but couldn’t implement them.
