This game is designed for a very narrow audience. There are two options, either you like old 8-bit bitmaps, or you are a fan of Kevin Smith’s work.
We were waiting for this game because we recently watched all of Kevin’s films and realized that it was brilliant. It would be worth changing the wrapper of the game and removing all the references that it has, we would probably not even notice it. Of course, it is worth noting the fact that the game was primarily created in gratitude to those who supported the senior project (Jay and Silent Bob: Chronic Blunt Punch).
Jay and Silent Bob: Mall Brawl is an amazing game for those who are familiar with Kevin Smith’s Askewniverse, there are so many cool references, even to The Clerks cartoon series! But overall, it’s a cool game for those who aren’t familiar with Kevin Smith’s movies if you like a good old’ retro-style beat ’em up, and it’s an amazing game for those who are into Askewniverse (like us).
