This is a super short, super free Adult Visual Novel made for a game jam.
In the game you play a single-minded and perverted ghost and learn some lessons along the way. A little story about obsession and personal growth. And sex. Errol is a ghost with one thing on his mind: losing his virginity. He refuses to join the afterlife until he has scored with a woman. But after doing just that, he is still stuck in the world of the living…
Vivienne, Errol’s roommate, recruits the help of Anita Dicking, a medium, biographer, podcaster, and unlicensed therapist. Together they review the events leading to Errol’s big triumph to see if they can discover what’s truly anchoring him to the world of the living… there is a certain feeling of shallowness to the plot that comes simply from its small scale. You might argue that “well, it’s comedy”.
But compare this VN to my favorite “How to cope with with boredom and loneliness”: there it’s not just funny but also very deep. Plus, the jokes there are far more dense. This VN looks more like a student’s project in comparison. Besides, the humor here seems to be more teenager-targeted (e.g. it makes a big deal of simply getting laid in Interview with the Horny Ghost.
