Immortal Mantis PC Game 2022 review:
If you like puzzle games and a dark and intrusive atmosphere, this is the game you are looking for.
Unravel the story and mind of Mantis, the serial killer, from the perspective of Akin, an ordinary worker who bought the house of his dreams, but he will not have peace, as the events of the past of this house and its former residents will result in problems in the present that Akin must deal with. Immortal Mantis is a topdown pixelated horror game, which tells a sequential story, but that can have a different ending if the player discovers some secrets. The gameplay mixes challenging puzzles, psychological horror, and survival.
A quick and fun horror mystery with just a few things that could be spelled out better for the player, such as the visibility of the windows (tough to spot if you don’t walk right past them and see the ENTER prompt) and the color of the paintings in the hallway, which plays into a puzzle at some point. Overall though, it was an enjoyable experience. Especially for the super low price!
This was a pretty dope game the translation is a bit rough and it can be a bit confusing on where to go, but it was a banger and felt rewarding to figure everything out. There’s one part that legitimately got me bad in the scare department didn’t see it coming lol. There’s also a glitch in the corn maze while trying to get the gun where it won’t let you go down where you’re supposed to what worked for me was just attempting it over and over again and talking to the scarecrow before attempting to go down at the correct spot. I’m not sure I understand what ole Fuyuki and co. were up to but Petrov got what was coming to him it seems.
