An incredible experience with fantastic characters and a surprising amount of atmosphere. An improvement from the first act in every possible way.
we are not sure that this game will meet the hopes of those people who have been waiting for the second act for three years …) but we got it. like, it’s really gone. we love the first act, it was cool and made us feel a lot of emotions. but it ended up really fast and it was insanely frustrating. this act is much longer, which in principle should be obvious, like, you can’t release a game that is two hours long making it three years: _). we go through everything very slowly, sometimes turning.
Pros of HIVESWAP ACT 2:
- THE CHARACTERS!! God, this game has some amazing characters, they were what kept us playing through the ace attorney trial. It’s so much fun to go back and talk to the characters, even as you progress further, you really want to get to know them.
- The art!! It’s all so well done! we kept stopping and admiring different details in the background and the other background characters, there was so much going on and so much to look at! we’m very pleased with the visual design of this game.
- The music!! Another thing that kept us going during some of the more… “difficult” parts of the game where we had to walk back and forth, the music really helped with the atmosphere, and we will probably be buying the soundtrack.
- The animation! Just… Wow, the character animation! Very big fan!
