Your objective is to explore abandoned spaceships infested with terrifying drones made of bone and steel, while collecting valuable loot. This game serves as a sequel to Cryptark, a 2D roguelite. Gunhead offers a FPS roguelite experience that requires players to board and disable procedurally generated alien starships in order to generate income for their Privateering venture. These decaying alien vessels are equipped with various defenses, including cyborg monstrosities, robots, and security systems, all of which must be overcome to achieve victory by destroying the ship’s central System Core.
Building upon Cryptark’s strategic and fast-paced 2D gameplay, Gunhead combines it with a roguelike FPS format. Players will encounter complex and dynamically generated alien space-hulks that need to be boarded and conquered. The gameplay is intense and fast-paced, featuring jetpack-enabled movement and four weapon slots that can be customized with a selection of over 50 unique weapons.
Each enemy ship presents its own distinct challenges, requiring players to carefully plan their loadout and strategize their approach to overcome the interconnected security systems.
