Gravewood High PC Game 2021 review:
Simple, atmospheric, sorry, early access. The game reminded us a lot of “Hello, Neighbor”, but this one is more casual and more interesting.
Hiding around the school from the teacher Hyde, we get short voices with hints from classmate Erin and solve puzzles. The level generation is random, but the zones here are not so large, so you can just learn the territory. Frequent checkpoints, so it’s not scary to die after key actions.
we liked that you can’t take all useless items in a row. The music is also atmospheric, good. There are no scary screamers, even when the teacher catches you, so there is more psychological horror, and not screaming 1000% screamers, as in 99% of horror films. While there is only 1 level in the game, 2 more should appear before the full release.
Verdict. Although we don’t like stealth, we recommend this game. Not particularly scary, not particularly difficult in puzzles, but atmospheric and addictive. The gameplay is the same “Hello, Neighbor”, but more linear, with a bit of a plot and more understandable puzzles. You gradually get used to AI and in some places, it seems simple, especially with the advent of the stun cannon. Passed in one breath. There are no serious complaints – in a couple of places there were small drops in FPS and a couple of bugs stuck behind cabinets, it remains to wait for the full version. 8/10
