Frontwing’s latest visual novel, “GINKA,” is the result of a talented creative team, including Asta Konno and Yusano, the duo behind “ATRI – My Dear Moments-.” Half a decade ago, Aoba Ryusei’s childhood friend, Shinomiya Ginka, vanished without a trace during the summer festival. The island residents, inclined towards superstition, attributed her disappearance to a divine occurrence, claiming she had been “spirited away.” Now in high school, Ryusei decides to visit the island during his summer break. He yearns to uncover the truth: Did Ginka ever return?
Could she be leading a typical high school life? Regrettably, his faint hopes are shattered when he discovers that Ginka hasn’t been sighted since that fateful night. Disheartened, he prepares to leave, but fate intervenes as he encounters a young girl who bears an uncanny resemblance to his lost childhood friend—Ginka. This girl is unaware of her own name, but her affection for Ryusei is undeniable. Where has she been all this time? Why has she not aged? Reunited at last with his long-lost companion, Ryusei pledges to make this summer vacation on the serene island of his past the most memorable one yet.
