FISH for PC (Early Access Game)

features a funny, unique, stylized art style that could get a chuckle out of you!  It could get a chuckle out of you! As an armed FISH, your duty is to kill as many enemies and smack up that BOSS! At the end of each level, you will be awarded with MONEY you can use in the next level to purchase deadly firearms! Before the game came to Steam, the difficulty was challenging but generally reasonable. After release, however, there is a massive difficulty spike in the new level.

The paid version currently only adds one extra level compared to the free version, although it is fairly long. Since the game is still in early access and additional content will likely be added, the amount of content isn’t a major concern. The increased difficulty would be less of an issue if it weren’t so heavily dependent on RNG. There is also a boss fight in FISH that takes place in a very small arena, despite the boss requiring significantly more space to fight effectively.

The boss occupies most of the arena during the encounter, making the battle feel cramped and frustrating. The game also includes an endless mode, but it is difficult to find much enjoyment in it due to its blessing and curse system. Every few waves, players are required to choose both a blessing and a curse. Some curses introduce enemies that teleport directly onto the player and are nearly impossible to avoid. Even if those encounters are survived, another curse must be selected shortly afterward, forcing multiple difficult modifiers to stack at once. As a result, surviving for more than a minute in this mode can feel nearly impossible. “Killer Fish!!”
