As a middle-aged individual, Seiji is keenly aware of the toll that time has taken on his body and abilities. In the past, Seiji was known as “Gozuki,” a name that carried a sense of power and authority. He was the one his oyabun, or boss, relied upon for strength and influence within the organization. However, as he reenters the world outside prison walls, he realizes that his physical prowess may no longer be what it once was.
Instead of conforming to the traditional yakuza stereotypes and expectations, Seiji contemplates whether it truly matters anymore. He wonders if the relentless pursuit of power, loyalty, and honor that defined his past life still holds significance. With the weight of his age bearing down on him, he questions the true meaning and purpose behind his actions. Seiji’s experiences have given him a unique perspective, allowing him to challenge the established norms within the yakuza.
He contemplates whether he can forge a different path, one that prioritizes personal growth, introspection, and perhaps even redemption. As he navigates the complex landscape of the criminal underworld, Seiji seeks answers to his existential questions, unsure if anything truly matters as much as it once did.
