Rephrased: Following the events of its remarkable predecessor, the villainous Absolute Evil and their less-than-reliable servant, the Dark Elf Thalya, make a comeback in Dungeons 4, aiming to once again achieve victory over the forces of good.

Once upon a time, in a distant realm of abundant greenery, unicorns roamed freely amidst the trees, while elves and humans peacefully coexisted with their surroundings. However, hidden within a weather-worn hut at the edge of a clearing, partially obscured by rising fog, a mysterious figure hunches over a large, eerily glowing crystal ball. Whispering ancient incantations, the figure seeks to unveil glimpses of the future within the swirling mist contained within the crystal. “In this ever-shifting world, nothing remains certain.
Oh, enigmatic forces of space and time, part the veils and reveal the untold,” murmurs the voice, its eyes faintly reflecting the radiant glow before it. The figure’s barely visible audience leans in closer, captivated by the words. “Time flows and fluctuates, forming pools and wrinkles… yet as the mists dissipate, only vague images emerge from beyond the veil. Hush now—approach cautiously, for you wouldn’t want to disrupt my delicate magical work, would you?” The figure, still bent over the orb, mutters and gestures for the others to retreat further into the shadows. “Ah, it appears to be clearing slightly.
Pros of Dungeons 4:
- Many ways to tell the story: A long campaign, narrated by the beloved English Narrator from previous titles, as well as several skirmish maps all to challenge your rule as the Absolute Evil.
- Minions, everywhere: The Horde, the Undead and the Demons wait to do the Absolute Evil’s bidding, with more creatures than ever eagerly following the gesturing Evil’s orders, and Snots will play a much more prominent role this time.
- Work together, slay together: 2-player co-op multiplayer with both players managing one Dungeon together. All maps from the skirmish mode and the campaign are playable in co-op.
- New and shiny: An ability-based Perk system for Thalya, the Absolute Evil’s trusted *cough* and most loyal subordinate, grants her impressive new powers. The Absolute Evil can now enjoy taking over the world, governing the creatures and slapping subordinates even more with the customizable Evil Hand.
