Disciples Liberation PC Game 2021 review:
Adventure strategy with an RPG focus. The story of the incident is told in dialogues between our hero characters and many other protagonists and antagonists.
The dialogues are set to music in German, at least in the main quest. Of course, there were also direct complaints about the synchro. Complaining about the fact that there is no German synchro at all in many games weigh more heavily in our opinion, so we turn a blind eye here. Yes, sometimes the characters overact, but at least you don’t have to read everything (if something like that bothers you).
In the main story, we start right at the beginning with a mercenary assignment, which quickly throws us completely off the mark. The worldbuilding is hardly present at the beginning of the story and if you don’t know the predecessors (like us) you honestly have no plan of what is actually going on. Nevertheless, we continued to play because the relaxed and often funny (sometimes unintentional) dialogues encourage you to find out more.
Pros of Disciples Liberation:
- Slam and talk
- The gameplay consists of two main parts.
- For one, you spend time battling various enemies while exploring the adventure maps that can be reached by fast travel and taking buildings or completing missions.
- On the other hand, we hold conversations in a role-playing manner in which we can make more or less moral decisions in order to give our character a certain direction.
