Dementium II expands on the original with larger environments, more weapons, and enemies that demand different approaches.

The Cult Horror Classic Returns to PC
The original Dementium II is back, rebuilt for modern PCs by the team behind the game. William Redmoor wakes up inside a psychiatric facility for the criminally insane, fresh staples in his skull and no clear idea of what happened.

As the walls begin to crumble and reality takes a disturbing turn, survival becomes a fight against both the horrors around him and the secrets buried in his mind. This cult DS horror game returns with its unsettling atmosphere, brutal encounters, and puzzles, now playable on PC.
A Nightmare That Has Only Just Begun
William Redmoor’s last memory is the Doctor’s scalpel. His next is waking up at the Bright Dawn Treatment Center with a fresh surgical wound and a terrible accusation hanging over him: according to the official records, he murdered his wife.
A postcard left inside his cell offers a strange clue. The handwriting belongs to William himself, and the message is short enough to leave little room for doubt. Run.
A Bigger, More Dangerous Survival Horror Experience
Charging into every encounter rarely ends well, so knowing when to fight and when to move carefully makes a real difference.
The result is a more flexible survival horror experience that keeps the pressure on without making every encounter feel exactly the same.
The Original Game, Rebuilt for Modern Hardware
Every corridor, monster, and major twist from the Nintendo DS version returns in a format designed for a single screen. The original atmosphere remains intact, but several options let players decide just how close the experience should feel to the old handheld release.
These options make the PC version feel more than a simple port. The familiar horror is still there, but the presentation and controls are better suited to modern setups. Whether the preference is a cleaner image or the rough, pixelated look of the original, the choice is yours.
New to Dementium? Here’s the Story So Far
There’s no need to play the first game before starting Dementium II , although a little background helps explain William Redmoor’s situation.
In Dementium: The Ward , William wakes up in a hospital with no memory of how he got there. The building is crawling with creatures that shouldn’t exist, while newspaper clippings accuse him of murdering his wife. Visions of his daughter draw him deeper into the nightmare, and a mysterious figure known as the Doctor keeps watch from the shadows.
William eventually fights his way down to the basement to confront the Doctor in Dementium II, hoping to put an end to the horror. Things don’t turn out as expected.

Features of Dementium II:
- Choose between crisp visuals and retro pixels. Play at resolutions up to 4K or switch to a lower resolution for a look closer to the original hardware.
- Pick your preferred flashlight style. Use a more realistic modern light beam or bring back the distinctive stencil-style lighting from the DS version.
- Turn off enemy warning music. The original game used music to signal nearby danger. Disable that warning system for a less predictable, more tense experience.
- Enjoy a redesigned single-screen layout. Information that once occupied two DS displays now fits into one view, with an on-screen mini-map to help keep track of the surroundings.
- Play with your preferred controls. Full controller support sits alongside mouse and keyboard options.
- Take the horror on the go. The game works well on Steam Deck, making it easy to continue the nightmare away from a desktop.
- Unlock Steam Achievements. There are additional milestones to earn while working through the game.
