A new drug epidemic by the multinational company Gambricorp has turned Hindenberg’s inhabitants into bloodthirsty madmen, and the once beautiful city into a prison city where murderers and psychiatrists roam.
Your purpose to be a hover taxi driver. It is to escape from this prison city and gain freedom. The system is to handle requests (rental, assassination, sabotage) from customers who picked up while flowing through the city as a taxi driver and proceed to the next area. With the rewards you receive for each request, you can upgrade your car body with miniguns, rocket artillery, bulletproof and nitro fuel, which protects you from armed vehicles and citizens roaming the city. In addition, the prison city Hindenberg has a staging system, and you can play in various locations such as “Downtown”, “Old Town”, and “Public Housing”.
Initially released only in DOS and 3DO, it was later released in Japan under the titles “Hard Rock Cab (PS)” and “Escape from Quarantine Isolated City (SS)”. “Quarantine” still has a strong fan base in the hard world view of “operating an armed taxi, running over and killing passers-by, and wrecking enemy vehicles”, but this “CYBER TAXI” was strongly influenced by that.
