Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines is a real-time tactics game set in World War II that puts you in command of a small squad of elite troopers. Send them behind enemy lines on a series of hazardous missions, and bring them back alive. Clever strategy has never been so furiously action-packed. Study the enemy’s movements, develop a careful plan, synchronize your men, and launch them on a swift and fierce attack using all your power and skill.
It was such a blast in the late 90s and it’s such a good game that it can still be fun today. Reaching the last few levels is a real challenge, and you can be extremely proud if you pass the last one. It’s an old-school game, with no tutorials, no hints, and no arrows to tell you what to do next. A masterpiece of its time. Each mission can be played differently, depending on how you want to use the other character. The variety of different tactics you can use on each map makes this game incredibly deep and thoughtful.
