it is a very atmospheric game. We recommend it to people who want to play some mysterious horror game.
It can be seen what they did with their souls. The project is unusual and worth your attention if you miss horror movies with a good atmosphere. So far, we are just diving into it, but we already want to share our impressions. we truly appreciated the direction, from the way the story unfolds up to how polished the aesthetics, the sound, and the overall experience are. Time went by and we didn’t notice.
Pros of Chasing Static:
- Mechanics. Quite unusual mechanics of finding frequency anomalies
- Atmosphere. Gloomy and absorbing, everything is right
- Graphics. Styling for PS1 has long been adopted by indie developers, but this is the first time we’ve seen it in first-person horror format. And it feels good. Silent Hill 2 blows a little. we can only say that everything looks very good. It’s almost always night in the game, but unlike other indie horror games, it doesn’t hurt your eyes. Well done lighting
- The plot. So far, we have not had time to go deep, but at the moment we note that the gameplay mechanics are fully supported by the plot. Some inexplicable anomalies that can only be detected with a special device at certain frequencies, blurred the line between real and unreal, are quite fresh and interesting. Quite quickly, the plot drags on with its secrets, understatement, and various kinds of strange events that have to be explained.
