Bitardia PC Game 2015 review:
This game invites us to get used to the skin of anon. It is up to us to be cancer or canon / b / tard. There are 3 story missions, as well as several additional tasks.
This story is based on Russian imageboard culture. You are a nerdy /b/tard, who always stays at home. One day someone sends you a link to a weird website, upon going to which you are teleported into a mysterious island, populated by several hostile factions. You need to choose between the two conflicting forces to get rich, to overcome your nature, or just to survive. You can loot caravans.
Nice game, if you are familiar with Russian internet culture and humor especially related to imageboards, and the stuff mentioned in the Lurkmore encyclopedia. There isn’t much action nor gameplay or graphics the point is to walk around, explore the game world and look for funny and weird stuff. Worth buying if you are familiar with that stuff, if you are not familiar with it the game may seem even more weird and unusual to you.
Honestly, this game is probably one of our most favorite games we’ve ever played. we weren’t expecting this game at all from the videos and photos of it, it is somehow immersive, funny, and very fun while also seemingly simple. The story was hard to follow at first, but even wandering around we were fully focused on the side missions and stories of NPCs. we found this game through the card game (Bitardia Cards: Memes of 2ch) which we downloaded in 2016/2017, and to see where it originated from is such an interesting feeling. Overall, this game is immersive, funny, entertaining, and although the graphics aren’t good, they make the game better.
Pros of Bitardia:
- When launching the game the only graphic option is: Crysis
- Lots of channel 4 related memes and internet culture (you can’t say 4chan)
- Randomness
- A full version of Slenderman can be played in this game
