Many top-down racing games are casual, with nitro or a handbrake that allows you to drift easily. But this game has a realistic behavior that you can’t turn unless you slow down firmly.

The game offers quite a few very welcome options, such as total audience deactivation (which here is surprisingly smarter than in other rally games we know of since it STRIPS away from the path of the body) … The camera angle is slightly configurable, but not enough for our taste: even getting as close as possible, we clearly remain in a game seen from above.
The pleasant gameplay turns out to be fine and technical, really requiring a good balance between braking and accelerating … Here tamping is immediately punished, and with its gameplay that is both arcade and demanding, the game quickly becomes addicting and addicting to play.
Difficulty modes allow everyone to have fun based on their abilities/urges, and also offer varying degrees of damage incidence (or even turn them off).
Pros of art of rally:
- If we welcome the desire to do something different with this aerial camera which is never problematic in terms of gameplay, we personally regret the absence of more classic cameras, such as we see in replays for example.
- In addition, even if we find that the absence of co-pilot and notes is absolutely not a problem here, scrolling of the map like that of Dirt3 would have been welcome in compensation and would have been particularly extremely practical in the small mazes of paths in “free exploration” mode.
- this game is overall an excellent surprise!
- With a sober, elegant, and functional interface, it offers various game modes: a fairly bushy career, personalized time trials, and rallies + daily events, and a free exploration mode that we find absolutely brilliant!
