Set in 2037 in Nakano, Tokyo, the main characters, Pollon Takaoka and his close friend Cross Yumikawa, make a living as professional hackers in areas unaffected by the devastating “Sad Morning” incident that took place on February 6th, 2036.
This is the most recent creation by Chiyomaru Shikura, the creator of STEINS;GATE, working alongside the returning staff from the Science Adventure Series. One day, despite being single, Pollon announces his intention to “elope.” However, his plans take an unexpected turn when he encounters a enigmatic girl named Momo in a forbidden location. Suddenly, unknown attackers emerge, relentlessly pursuing Momo.
In the midst of the escape, Pollon acquires an extraordinary application called “Save & Load,” which allows him to save data and restart events, much like a video game. Unbeknownst to him, this is only the beginning of a much larger journey. A brilliant and mysterious hacker known as “Cicada 3301” orchestrates a series of seemingly unsolvable “Quests.” The “Gaia Institute” reactivates a frozen earth simulation, and the secret activities of the Vatican’s “513 Holy Office” thugs come to light.
As a result of his encounter with Momo, Pollon becomes entangled in a web of intricate plots, leading him to confront a world-shaking event. What truths lie ahead for Pollon as he utilizes his hacking skills, the power to save and load, and navigates through various branching paths of reality? Embark on a journey to hack into the multitude of realities and “load” the ending that will save the world. This is the tale of the hackers who possess the ability to rewrite the future.
