As you engage in combat with a Beast, its fury will intensify, unlocking new abilities for it. Overcome the whimsical Gilded Grifter in a game of cups to gain an advantage, or trigger the Consume ability of The Yearning Woods, causing it to consume and replenish its health bar until it eventually bursts! Fight back against the Beasts by inflicting them with various swarms of insects, igniting parts of their bodies, or even severing their limbs to deprive them of their abilities. The core essence of Acolyte of the Altar lies in the interaction with these formidable creatures.

Upon slaying a Beast for the first time, you have the opportunity to offer its body to your Patron, who will carve a new Blessing for you. When entering a new area, your Patron will bestow upon you a selection of these Blessings, which can significantly alter your hunting approach. Choose the Skyscraper Sword from the Crumbling Monument to magnify the size of your tallest creatures, or capture the elusive Mini Jelly that zaps enemies when you cast spells! However, be cautious with your choices, as these forbidden Blessings burden your spirit to varying degrees.
