The character designs are great, we especially appreciated the frequent costume changes, we’ve played too many other perfectly good visuals novels with fairly static characters, but here they get to show off the fashion of the time. Most importantly, the story. we loved our two protagonists thanks to some good writing that allowed us to invest in them, get to understand them. The writing also brought the location to life and gave added weight to the protagonists and their struggles.
The way she behaved when she finally realizes her true feelings and her identity/preferences was so realistic to us because we went through the exact same turmoil. It’s terrifying to feel something that’s considered wrong in your family’s eyes. It’s terrifying to go against the grain when you’ve been molded to follow a traditional way of thinking almost your entire life. Both Sam and Michelle gambled with this and pursued their own happiness and true self.
The music was a delight too, a very fitting mix of original and licensed tracks that improved every scene, moving from ambiance to more intense scenes very well. we dearly hope we get the option to purchase the soundtrack soon! Snail’s Pace from Stevia Sphere especially stood out for us.
