This is a beautiful experience from the visuals to the music. the 2D animations, in particular, are very cute and charming, and the interactions in each scene are simple but delightful.
From Cloisters Interactive, A Memoir Blue is an interactive poem about a superstar athlete and the all-encompassing love between mother and daughter. A unique aesthetic combining hand-drawn and 3D art brings Miriam’s magical-realist journey to life, as she swims into the depths of her memories. A series of gameplay vignettes blend sacrifice and heartbreak with victory and pride as she reconnects with her inner child and deepens the love she shares with her mother.
A Memoir Blue is another really great interactive story from Annapurna and Cloisters. It reminds you a lot of Florence. Good visuals, great soundtrack. It is very light on gameplay. However, you’re not playing games like this for the gameplay… you’re playing for the story and experience. The game is short, but it tells the story between mother and daughter very beautifully. In fact, this game will make you cry in the end. A mother’s love for her children can not break anything.
We wouldn’t go into this expecting typical point-and-click adventure gameplay or puzzles as it’s more like an interactive animated movie. if you like games that focus heavily on storytelling, then we’d recommend it!
