Eggwife is a brash and irreverent first-person shooter that draws inspiration from games like Postal 2, Duke Nukem 3D, and Goat Simulator. The game embraces a deliberately imperfect and crude style, acknowledging the challenges of creating a first game. Set in Sheffie, England, players assume the role of 77p egg, a foul-mouthed stick figure who briefly mourns the loss of its partner.
However, a routine trip to the supermarket to search for a new life companion takes a bizarre turn, launching the protagonist into an epic adventure. Survival depends on mastering various bodily functions and maintaining fast-paced movement. By utilizing strafe-running, vertical aiming (which, while not essential, adds a cool and absurd element), and the ability to jump using fecal matter, players can outmaneuver their enemies.
Additionally, the protagonist can urinate on command to extinguish fires, incapacitate specific foes, or create art on walls. Consuming copious amounts of food is crucial to keep the “poop meter” full, not only to reload the Sh*tgun but also to enable double jumps.
