14 Minesweeper Variants is a series that starts from this basic idea, but elevates the gameplay to something that feels quite new and surprising with smart procedural generation which ensures that each board is logically solvable, plus a multitude of variants that tweak the basic rules. Like in the first game, the difficulty is normalized across all game modes, with a set amount of mines and usable clues for each board size.
You can’t adjust the details yourself – the game is tailored to provide a specific kind of a harsh logic puzzle experience where the challenge level is always high and every step needs to be performed with utmost logical rigor, like defusing a bomb in 14 Minesweeper Variants 2.
The recommended “Expert” difficulty will in fact hand you a game over if you make anything less than 100% certain deductions.
