It is absolutely vast compared to the original title(s), packed full with all the wit and charm, heartbreak and horror, love and loss we’ve come to expect from the series. Sea++ stands on its own merit, as it’s not a direct sequel it doesn’t require any knowledge of the previous game(s) to fully enjoy the story, though there are many references and connections sprinkled in that will give you a deeper understanding of the world and its systems.
Open Sorcery and its sequels are some of the most loving text adventures out there today. The developer is passionate about showing us a world and the characters that live within it and giving us reason to invest in those characters and places. With a heartfelt, engaging, and rich narrative, a passionate community, a talented and receptive developer, and a buttload of different paths to take and secrets to find, we won’t be putting this game down for weeks.
