Despite refusing to succumb to this peculiar destiny, only a select few individuals, referred to as “the Marked,” possess the ability to traverse the “portals” safely. They represent our final ray of hope. Given the scarcity of resources in human settlements, it falls upon “the Marked” to embark on expeditions and procure vital supplies.
