The storyline is bland and vague, which can work for some players, but the main character isn’t asking enough questions. Why is there a witch? Why are the characters here? Is it a dream? Are they dead? The trailer mentions mysteries being unveiled, but it feels less like a mystery and more like a collection of loosely connected concepts. Rather than feeling intriguing, it comes across as messy. The dialogue isn’t very engaging. Strong NPCs are especially important in life sims and farming sims, but most of the characters are difficult to distinguish beyond their professions.

Their conversations aren’t particularly interesting, making it hard to become invested in them or what they have to say in Pawsome Resort. The writing could use more personality and emotion. On the mechanical and bug-related side, the roads are too narrow. Driving the vehicle often results in collisions with corners, rocks, walls, lights, and other obstacles.

The bridges require extremely precise positioning to cross smoothly, and the easiest way to travel without constant interruptions is to cut down trees and drive through the grass. The roads would benefit from being wider, or obstacles should be placed farther away from them at Pawsome Resort. The clock is divided into several tiny “pie slices” of time. It’s unclear why the day needs to be split into so many sections. Four, or perhaps eight, would seem sufficient. This would be less of an issue if advancing from one section to the next didn’t cause a noticeable stutter and lag spike every time.
